X-tra long wheel studs for 1st Gen CRX

Hey all,
I need to purchase some extra long wheel studs for my 84 Honda CRX. Does anybody know where I can get a good set?

ARP makes them. They are strong, but a little pricey.

If you use stock rims use early model Integra lug nuts. They have the 'round' seat like stock but are open ended for long studs.

APR-bolts.com Look in the 'catalog' under driveline products. The online product guide doesn't list them. The catalog shows the actual dimensions, so measure first before you order. BTW, rear studs are easy to swap out since you can take the rear hub off. But front studs will require you to press the hubs off the uprights. That's a good time to replace the hubs and bearings. I have heard of some people filing a small groove on the upright to give clearence to remove a damaged stud but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this. Might gut feeling is that these studs are probably stronger than the hubs so I wouldn't worry about breaking or stripping one.

There are cheaper alternatives to ARP as well Like Dorman Studs from NAPA or other autoparts store. Give then the specs and they can look up the right fit. Here is a list of alternatives I compiles some time ago:

Great. Thanks for the help!
I found the ARP bolts at Summit for $12 a 5 pack, 2.5" long. They are made for GM stuff, but work on ALL Hondas and Acuras. The knurl is slightly larger, but pull up very nice.

I also got some inside information that these are the exact same studs Comptech sells at a 100% mark up.

FYI: I got NOTHING BUT bad feedback on the Skunk2 and zspeed studs. Junk material!

Chris: ARP's 7708's have a .509 knurl. They only recently started making the new 7709-12's with the correct .480 knurl. Prior to this Comptech was recutting the 7708's to correctly fit hondas in their machine shop. One by one...hence the markup for labor and tools. They are NOT exactly the same, but cut to fit correctly and securely. Your other alternative was to use the 7708's and redrill the seats, but this often lead to spinning studs that didn't seat right...or forcing them in with a press, which also disrupts the seats and makes removal difficult.

I stand corrected. That is why I came to the IT forum. I knew somebody would have the right answer. The extra .029" should make for a really snug fit.
