Just curious if there are any other 1st gen (86-89) Integras out there in IT other than me. I've been working on mine and racing it for a little over a year now.

I know there used to be one in Florida run by the Urso's but they've since moved to production. Any one else?

I'm starting to think I may be the only G1 Integra racing in IT in the country....

I may be joining you (not geographically though). If the WCHC ever happens I'll probably end up with an H5/ITA 1st Gen Integra.

The other option is an older (late 80s/early 90s) Civic but the older ones have drum brakes and I don't want any part of that. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

Cool! I do think it's the car to have in H5, but that's just me. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif In truth, I've found that I really don't have much if any advantake on a properly prepared 1g CRX Si / 3g Civic Si. I'm running pretty much the same lap times as the top 1g CRX Si's in ITA here in the SE, and on the track I've found that I have a little more top speed (thanks to an awesome new header) but they really can eat me up under braking and in the twisties due to the 400+ fewer lbs they're carrying. And don't even get me started on that OPM-built Accord. Ouch. That is a fast car.....

Hopefully in the next year or so, once the WCHC and MWHC get up and running, we'll have our own National Championship race (I believe it's already on the table....) and I'll see ya there.

How long til you get your Teg on the racetrack in ITA?

Well, it's almost ready to go, all I need to do is buy one. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

Seriously, I haven't bought the car yet. There are a couple things I need to do first (sell one extra daily driver plus a few other things to generate the revenue) before I'm ready to go. Hopefully it will happen this winter.

The CRX is attractive just because they seem to win ITA all the time around here, but I like the Integra better. Plus I'm 6'5" and know I fit in the Integra (my wife drove an '88 RS while we were dating, wish I'd kept it).

So to make a short post much too long, I'm shooting for racing in 2003. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
