Am thinking of updating the suspension on my Rabbit. Does anyone use coilovers? Pros and cons? Thanks for the help.

Is this a race car or street car? I'm pretty sure most of the people here are using coilovers on their race cars. I know I am.

/edit/ I guess I should provide some information as well. Most use coilovers due to the larger availability of differnt rate and free length springs. In addition to that, I believe that a std. 2.5" ID coil spring will weigh less than a corresponding stock diameter spring, given similar spring rates.

It's a racecar. There are adjustable Konis on it now with 500# springs in front. The Konis are getting tired and are the ones that can't be rebuilt. What type of coilovers are you using? Thanks.

Well, w/ the shock rule now open, you can pretty much pick what ever you want (so long as they have no more than 2 adjusments and no remote resivoir). I ran Bilsteins on the old car, and run Carreras on the new car.

Call Stu at BSI for the best price on a set up for that car. There is no one better! Ask around, Stu has more championship cars all over the USA and has built more race cars than anybody. He really knows the set up and will help you with setting up the car after the sale.

Chris says (he tells everyone the same thing): call Ground Control and be done with it.
