Some of you die hard VW racers may be happy to hear we are once again represented in the Pro ranks.

Actually there is a deal being put together by VW/Audi to support 1.8T VWs next in WC. So if you have an extra $100,000 laying around ;-) ...

Cool news, and I hope it pans out. I would like to see some official VWoA press release on this. The VW crowd would love to see any kind of help / involvement, from the factory, in racing in the states!

Now if we could only get Bill and the rest of VW/Audi to support the rest of the SCCA VW's, that would be GREAT.

He doesn't write big ol' checks but I appreciate that Bill does what he can to support our effort...

Bill - you have to see Kirk's car in person (don't know if you have). It has sufficient ground clearance to do agricultural racing without any effort - watching it in the roller coaster @ VIR is rather um amusing.

That's great news - glad to see VW back in the world of professional racing (only a few years too late). With Honda, Acura, Mazda and Dodge promoting themselves heavily in the motorsports arena, it's about damn time that VW threw their hat in the ring.

If World Challenge gets too expensive, come over and play in Grand Am Cup...

To everybody at Bildon, thanks for all the work you guys have done with VOA, VWAG and VW Sport. Love to see more OEM support trickle down to the club level.

Ah, Mr. Yip - but you haven't seen it since it got upgraded to ITB- (minus) specs! No more Tommy Tugboat action...

You going to be at the VIR enduro??

So the car no longer looks like a displaced rallye car, eh? I just hope you can get the pavement scrapes off the old door handles http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/biggrin.gif

I can't make the VIR enduro b/c I'm working (we're open on Sat and we alternate, this is my weekend in the box). I'd been sorta planning on crewing and generally bumming around but since I could't arrive until at least 2000h, it's not worth the drive.

Good luck and be safe (if that's possible).
