I've got a buddy here in Connecticut that obtained a 1986 Scirocco (8V) for the mechanical parts. He's disassembling the car next week and planning to cut it up and take the remnants to a salvage yard.
I haven't seen the car myself, but he describes it as being in good condition with only a "small spot of rust". The reason it's being dismantled is that it has no registration or title.
He says he's willing to let someone take it but they'll have to come to central CT and pick it up and get it out of there next week, no excuses. He's taking a week off work in order to get this done.
