Questions that I neglected to pose the first time around.

1)Whose shocks, and where to get them?
2)What size of an oil cooler?
3)Camber plates, any one stand out?
4)Going to Gingerman in June for school, any advice regarding the track?

Grumpa, #1 and #3 are related. You might want to consider getting the "package" from either Shine or BSI. All of the right parts are included, and they are basically a bolt in set.

#2, most of the kits have about the same size. They come with the sandwitch plate, thermostat, lines and the cooler. The size is nomally determined where you mount it. On the A1 VW, it's usually to the left of the radiater.

#4 haven't been there so I can't offer any advice on the track. As far as school, check the other thread a month or 6 weeks. Very good information there.

Tim,
Where would I find the thread? On the VW page, general discussion page, etc? If you remember, or is there a search option on this site. Man, I am so new here. Thanks.
Jim

This out of left field, does anyone use the handbrake for trailbraking? I read a number of years ago that some FWD jockeys used it to get the rear to rotate and reduce the push.

Shine: www.srsvw.com (http://www.srsvw.com)
BSI: www.bsiracing.com (http://www.bsiracing.com)
Bildon: www.bildon.com (http://www.bildon.com)

My brother and I have worked with Shine for years, with great support. I do not know much about the others; but I will be ordering wheel studs from Bildon next month.

Look under the General IT Disussions, and on April 18th, there is a Thread Topic about "Driver's School Preparedness"
