I just got a Sparco seat with the steel sidemounts for the driver's side and a Cobra Clubsprint (no seat brackets right now) for the passenger side. Is there any way to retain stock mounting or seat bases for the Sparco/Cobra? If possible, I'd like to retain the ability to slide seat back n forth.

The seats will be going into my rabbit

Any info on mounting it properly would be helpful. TIA

You can take the seat base from a stock VW seat and modify it so that the other seat will fit. Requires welding some brackets.

I trust the Rabbit is not an IT car; you cannot swap the stock passenger seat for an aftermarket one in IT. Either the stock passenger seat stays or is removed. Sorry, no substitutes.

No, it's not an IT car. The rabbit is being setup so I can play at some track and autocross events.

I sell at my store a bracket that allows you to mount any bottom mount or side mount seat and still retain the "slide" or adjustablity. Email me off line at [email protected].
