Since work and vacation travel are cutting into my racing schedule, I find myself thinking about other things.
One, I will tell you about in a bit, when it happens, but the other came out of a conversation about "Touring 3," that I was having with someone at the SARRC/MARRS gig last month...
How about a new National class that essentially creates ITA for new cars? Take all of the compact cars that make up such a huge bulk of the new-car market, build them to EXISTING IT rules, and go at it.
They could age naturally into "Regional-only" ITA as they get to be 5 years old, and apply the current SS age-out life on them to preserve equity in the showcase setting of the RubOffs.
Or make it a pro series to support WCGT/WCT events. Yummy.
