Track Scanner - Frequency Used?

I just picked up a refurbished track scanner for use in the padock - I can never hear the PA or just get unlucky and am never near the darn thing.

What frequency do most tracks use? Is there a standard "track" frequency? I'm not very knowledgable about police scanners and the like so this is new for me.

The frequencies used vary from track-to-track, region-to-region and are usually posted in the Supps for a race.

For an example, the freq's used for the SARRC/MARRS race at VIR next week (listed in the "Communications" section) will be 151.625, 151.805, and 152.885.

Is there any list that covers all tracks, that is, do they use the same thing all the time so that you can simply jot them down and be done with it?

Track scanner frequencies are normally published in the Supplement Regulations for the event.

Assuming the track uses radios instead of a hardline, you can always chat with the nice corner workers and ask them if they know the frequency of the corner net.

Some tracks (like Mid-ohio) use a hardline but medical does a brief re-transmission to the EV's over a radio net to keep them advised.

Road America uses radio's for club events, but uses the hardline for pro events. The hardline is also broadcast and sent out on the repeater, so you can listen in on a scanner. The RA frequency is 464.325MHz
