Picture Posting

How do you post pics on this site. I seem to be having trouble figuring it out. how abouta section for just picture posting.

You first need to get them on a web server (or image hosting service) somewhere. Then you put UBB Code (see the note at the left of your reply form) to refer to the URL of that image. If I put in the UBB Code...

(img)http://it2.evaluand.com/gti/images/firesys1.jpg(/img)

You'll see that image on the board. (Note that I didn't use square brackets in the example, because you would have then actually seen the image.)

EDIT - the new Firefox browser has a feature that is really useful in this context: The right click, "copy image location" trick.

Consider Imageshack. Below is from another forum where this service was recommended:

"The images remain stored and available for a minimum of a year since they were last viewed (that is, if an image is not viewed for at least 1 year straight, it will be removed. Every time the image is viewed, the countdown is reset).

Thanks for the help. I am use to sites where I just insert the pics from a file in my computer. I guess this means I will be startins my own website for the racecar .
