Jeff mentioned "Camden" when I asked yesterday about motels for the CMP race but there are a couple there. Where are you all staying?

We like the Executive Inn in Kershaw.

Kirk, car looked great at CMP. A little more development and it will be a great ITB (minus no more) car.

I have stayed, as I mentioned, at the Best Western on the west side of Camden. It is about 25-30 minutes from teh track. I've stayed there out of necessity, as the Executive Inn (on the left as you head south from Kershaw towards CMP) has been full. There is another motel -- as in one story -- on the right in Kershaw, but never been brave enough to stop there, although I bet it is fine.

I am probably going to make reservations at the Executive Inn tonight, I'll let you know if there is anything available.

That place looks like a "No Tell Motel" to me. I wouldn't stay there. I have a tent if needed. :-)

Nope - bringing the IT car...

I've got a room reserved at the Executive Inn right there in Kershaw, although it's a "smoking kitchenette" - not sure I like the sound of that...

Camden/Lugoff has a ton of hotels and is only a 20 minute or so drive from the track.
It also has a lot of restraunts, auto parts stores, a Walmart, ect. From what I hear Kershaw doesn't have much of anything. I recommend driving a few more miles for a lot more convienence.

What you say is true, except for one thing: Kershaw has Gus's restaurant. :-)

Really? Tell me about Gus's. I am always looking for good food at the various tracks.

Tristan, it is probably not on your route in so you may not have seen it. As you come through Kershaw headed south towards the track it is on the left (on the right if headed north from the track into town). It is "downtown" to the exten such a thing exists in Kershaw, across from a bank. Good Italian food actually by a Greek who has been in Kershaw for like 20 years or something. The poor guy.
