If you read Tim Suddard's editorial you know he was talking about trying to get a GRM show on Speed. Well, the more people that post hopefully the better chance we get on getting a GRM show. Just thought I'd spread the word.

It would definitely be more interesting to watch races on a level that I can relate to. I do enjoy NASCAR races and especially the couple of road races. I like to root for the road racing hired guns like Johnny Miller and Boris Said, hoping that their talent will shine over the mega buck NASCAR teams. I just can't relate to 10 million dollar plus teams as well as I can to the local racing that's more in my league. I hope Speed or ESPN or some smart network exec realizes that there is a strong market for reality TV in racing too. My only fear is that the TV coverage will commercialize the regional racing to the point that its not amateur anymore. Then the best beggars for corporate sponsorship will end up burying us poor 'ole racers. Just my $0.02

I agree with you mike on pretty much everything you said. The added coverage could lead to bigger corporate sponshorships and such, but then again, it could have a positive effect in that SCCA and all other non professional racing organizations will grow. Hey, without us, there would be no nascar, f1, trans am, ect... Everyone has to start somewhere.
