I've been 'floating' about you could say over the last year. I've finally landed and can now start getting a bit involved mnore directly than just talking with people on here and at that very rare event. So I guess the big question thats next to ask for the winter is....anyone in Buffalo? I might as well be involved somehow this summer somewhere as long as the Glen and mid-ohio and mosport and some where near PIT is all within 4 hours away.

Special thanks goes out to PFM racing during this time for the hospitality at the end of July event at gateway that they were so gracious to invite me to. I didn't get based in St.Louis like i wanted but Ill be happy in Buffalo jsut the same with what i have going on here. I just need to find some car nuts up this way.

You will be happy in Buffalo. It offers good central geographic access to a number of great tracks--Glen, Nelson, Mosport, Mid-ohio & Beaverrun.

Come on out to the WNY Region meetings on the First Tuesday of each month at the Rose Garden on Wherle Drive in Williamsville.

Hope to see you there(or contact me privately). Cheers.

Winter is not a vast wasteland of wasted time and space up here in the frozen north.

Thursday (New Years Day) at Ransomville Speedway (think 'Lewiston' or 'Youngstown', north of Buffalo) is the Hangover 200 - http://www.ransomvillespeedway.com/hangoverpix.htm AND...they've added a Minivan class. Several WNY SCCA'ers will be in attendance, although they'll be in circle track disguise.

Ice race season also starts up soon - http://www.cnyira.com/ It's what dysfunctional SCCA racers do in the winter, if they can't stand watching golf or basketball.

Anything worth doing, is worth doing in excess.

I'll see what i can do about getting to attend. still not a 'club' member however will most likely be when the season starts up in swing...(money is short at the moment...still lining up living places and putting in the work hours and all that just to get settled in)

ill let you guys know.

say, is ransomville the place that was racing the defunct school busses in the figure eight derby?

ill look up the rose garden. Wherle....how close to the airport is the rose garden on that road?

Ransomville is the local dirt-track...they do schoolbus figure-8 races at one of the local asphalt ovals (Holland Speedway)
The Rose Garden is only a few minutes from the Airport (Wehrle Drive runs parallel to Genesee Street...the road the airport is on)...not hard to find if you know where the airport it.
Welcome to WNY!

So I know Jude and Jen quite well. Did I meet you at the July race? I was running the white 84 rx-7 (#97).
