I watched part of this show. I did not realize how many people you IT guys have on your crews... looks to me like you all have one crew person for each lug nut on the vehicle. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

Not a lot of actual racing but it sure reminded me of the old days running The Longest Day of Nelson. We used to take 30 to be crew, bimbo's, etc along with a motor home or two. The best part was that once the race began, the driver was just that the driver and could walk away when problems occurred and get rest. The one thing that didnt come across as well as I would have preferred was what a quest the race becomes just to finish, much less finish well.
Ahhh, the memories.

I'm not going to do a lot of weekends in 04 but would love for one of them to be the 12 Hours. I don't know that it is a great idea to start it on a 118K motor, however...

Hmm.

Kirk,

If you're serious about the 12-Hour, send in your application on 1/1 (or whatever the 1st day they take them is). It fills up fast!!!

I'd be interested in either being a co-driver or part of the crew. I've got a couple of good results as a crew chief at both Moroso and Summit (3rd at Moroso, 4th at Summit). It's a great race to run!!!! If I'm going to drive, I can start working on funding/sponsorship now!! Now, about the IT2 deal....

MY TV RACING DEBUT!!!!! Sure, I was just a crew guy for the car that brought out the only caution of the race in 2002, but it helped being pitted right next to that Porsche that kept having to come in OVER and OVER again! Sharing a pit with them was a Mustang that had to pit every 40 minutes for fuel http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif Problem with us (besides the crash) was that the Shine Racing Service Car would outlast the drivers..we could go well over 3 hours without a stop.

Seriously, did anyone tape it? I would love to have a copy and willing to compensate for your troubles....EDIT, Someone has a copy, thanks

...you ask, I provide... http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp...07&FS=SCCA-RACE (http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=139007&FS=SCCA-RACE)

I would get right on it though....I am sure it will be a sell out again this year.
