With over 66,000 members in the SCCA, one would think that more people would mail in their vote than did... Pretty tough to bitch about things not getting submitted for membership input when THIS is the turnout for something that REALLY matters... Pretty SAD!

Remember that only 5 of 13 Areas (1, 5, 7, 8 and 13) had Director elections this year and one of them (Area 8) had an unopposed candidate. The vote totals normally are not large with the result that dedicated members who mail their ballots have a larger influence in the Club affairs.

Well, given the number of letters and requests I've made over the last 3 years, and the identical number of times I've either been ignored or rejected, I don't exactly feel particularly enfranchised with the club...
