Anyone seen or tried the new Hoosier DOT racing tire? Any info. on availability, sizes and prices? I saw an ad in Grassroots, but haven't found any other information. Thanks,

i was at the runoffs and most of the ss cars had the new rubber. the hoosier rep said the were good for about .6 sec at mid ohio. they supposedly last longer. the designation is suffixed 04 instead of the current 03 although the poular nickname is "fnf1" because it look like a F'ing F1 tire, just 2 grooves, no other tread. many sizes will be available by the ARRC but some sizes like my 13's will not be ready untill december. it was interesting that the ssc grid was a hodgepodge of hoosier, kuhmo and hankook tires but the ssb grid was all hoosiers at the front. the ssb were were all rear whell drive and the ssc's were a mix so i wonder if the hoosiers were better on rear wheel drive cars. (or the others were not) If you check out the times for ssc do not look at the race as a drying track caused a range of tire choices from dirt stockers to slicks.
