There is already some smack talk going on regarding the labor day ecr at Sebring, apparently a certain co-driver of a certain freshly painted red IT-7 rx7 has been talking trash about Mike Cox being afraid to run the ecr because he dosen't want to get beat. I think Mike needs to enter the ecr and prove that he can still win a race. By the way if you need a stand in co-driver Mike, I can make myself available http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/biggrin.gif

Dave
If anyone would know about "smack talk" it would be you! http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
You probably started the "talk" in order to wangle yourself a ride in the enduro, you ride mooch.
Good Luck over the Labor Day weekend.

As much as I would like to run the Labor Day event and the ECR, unfortunately my cardiologist has forbidden me to get back in the car. It seems the August dbl SARRC was too much strain on my heart and the risk of another heart attack is too great for me to continue racing. It is with a sad note that I will have to retire from racing and sell the car I have worked so hard on.

I want you all to know that your friendship will never be forgotten and that I may continue in SCCA in the Stewards program but in my heart I will always be a driver.

That being said I am very disappointed that a certain person would make such a comment that I am afraid to race in the ERC and I will take that up with him in person next time I see him.

Good luck to you all and I wish all of my friends a safe and fun weekend and season.

PS: Dave, if you really want to run the ECR, I would consider lending my car to you if your car isn't ready to go.

Mike, say it isn't so. Tell us that you're just BS'n us. If it's true, I'm very sorry to hear that you're being prohibited from doing what has brought you so much fun and joy for all these years. I hope you're kidding and your heart is going to be O.K.
Damn, this just bumms me out to hear. Damn it, I hope you're all right.

Mike, I know how heartbroken you must be about this on top of all the medical bills you have. So let me start the bidding off for your car at $2500. I know you have a lot more in it than that, but its a start. Maybe Rodney, Paul or Jim would like to upgrade into your ride. Then we could see just how fast that car really is. Hell maybe we could all pool our money to give you a good price on it to help you out with that pile of bills and get the collectors off your back. Then you could start answering your phone again too. Damn this really bums me out. Think about it, a quick $2500...cash. Damn I'm bummed out about it.

OK, OK, OK

before you all get your panties in a wad and start bidding on my car:

Dave....................GOT YOU ! ! !

$2,500.00 my ass.

and see how really fast my car is ?

Mike, watch it ! ! ! The hospital bill was a lot more than that.

We'll start the bidding at $10,000.00.

Mike G,
I keep expecting to see "some really cool orange flames" on that BMW first. http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

Besides, you have too many race cars already.

why should I, it's fun to be stoned legally all the time.

like hey dude, don't bogart that joint

let's see if you took Mike G's offer and my offer and added them together and divided by 2, yeah that would be a good starting point to sell the car from.

Mike,
Just as others have already express, I wish things could be different for you. I'm trying to find words but none seem to fit. Please take care of yourself and hope to see you out there. Maybe as a rough driving stewart or something http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/cool.gif

Hey Jim, I'll make you a real good deal on that BMW. It has everything and is a great handling car. I would bring it to the ECR this weekend but I don't want anyone denting it before I sell it. I've got too many Mazdas to keep the Bimmer. Great car, good deal.
