There is a Track Days event on Feb 21-22 at RA. I think it is with the Panoz School. The event is now open to IT cars on both days. Its not a bad price for the track time. I will be there driving in my friends' IT7.

I would highly recommend that you take advantage of this track day. It is my understanding that Road Atlanta has a scheduling conflict and will NOT have open testing the Friday before the March 6&7 SARRC/ECR/Pro-IT.

I have been told that only street legal cars can run the Track Days event.

IS THIS TRUE?

This school is open to IT cars on both days. $225 for Saturday (2hrs) $500 for the whole weekend (4.5hrs) or $325 for just Sunday (2.5hrs). The rules just changed as of Jan 04'. Make sure you are on DOT treaded tires or they will not let you run.

See you there..

Any Idea how we can confirm the NO track day on March 5/04, We are traveling ALOT of miles to get there, and will have to alter the schedule by a day.

There will be no test day on that friday. There is some corporate program at RA.

News Update! In spite of the scheduling conflict, Road Atlanta has managed to find some time and will have a brief test period on the Friday, March 5th before the first regional race on March 6th & 7th.

Pre-registration is required - Call 800-849-7223 or 770-967-7207. Deadline for pre-registration is Wednesday, March 3rd at 5:00PM EST.

Registration and rig parking starts at noon.

Schedule: 4p-6p Fee $200. There will be just one group for closed wheel cars. (There will be no session for open wheel - there were only 10 participants in 2003).

They must be a minimum of 30 pre-registered drivers, if less than 30 pre-register, all will be notified if possible.

2 hours for $200 dollars? And it will turn out to be a little less than 2 hours too as it always is. I know its the ATL region, but does anyone else think thats a little high?

It's NOT Atlanta region. This is run by Road Atlanta.

Thanks Lance for the correction. To reiterate - the Friday test days at Road Atlanta are NOT Atlanta Region SCCA sanctioned events, nor have these ever been. This is strictly Road Atlanta business.
