Word has it Wendell Holmes won both ITA races by a landslide (pulling all other cars on the straights), Rick Benezic 2nd, Tom Blaney 3rd, L. Serra 4th both days.

Any other reports?

That sounds about right except serra finished 8th on sat. due to a poor qual. And Wendell was taking the checkered at LRP while everyone else was still at Pocono. Let's say rocket ship. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/smile.gifThough the mighty SE-R did start 5th sat. 7th on sun. and finished 7th and 8th respectively. This with an old crappy motor that would start laying down after 2-3 laps once it heated up.

I hope everybody enjoyed the ITA race, I gave it my best shot, and know that at least 2 of the three top finishers would pass tech. Rick did a pretty good job racing me hard and understood after the race that we don't like racing like spec miata's (that body taps aren't part of the stratagy).

But being that the race was dedicated to Joe DeLuca (who lost his life in 9/11) I am sure that he got a chuckle at watching the race.

Pocono was a terrific weekend. The weather was great despite the calls for rain - same forecaster that worked for LRP I guess.

ITS race was fun, but we got strung out fast in the front 5. Nick was on pole, I was second and Kip was third. In the first race Kip and Dave M both got around me on the start. I repassed Dave going into turn 1 which is a very high speed sweeper after the massive straitaway. Dave went off and had a bit of a scare, but was able to get back on track and finish. Nick stretched it out and Kip got close to him once but we finished Nick, Kip, Me, Tim E Dave Cuifo? in race 1. In race 2 Kip broke and couldn't make the field. Nick on pole, me second, Tim third, Cuifo 4th, Maynard 5th. It was a clean start and I was able to stuff it in and get around Nick for about 10 seconds on the chicane. He had a better line and blew past me on the straight and by the end of the race we were pretty strung out again. I know there was some very tight racing in spots 4,5,6,7,8 but I don't remember all the finishing spots. Race 2 was Nick, me, Tim not sure on the rest. Dave M blew a motor on the straight - tough doing 7K RPM all day and it just quit on him.

The best was no wrecks, no yellows and good clean racing!

I'd like to congratulate Don Thompson on a perfect weekend. 2 poles, 2 wins AND another track record for the Bildon Motorsport GTI.

This more than made up for my terrible showing in ITS. The Corrado made it about 1/3 the way around before it suffered a major mechnical that I'm still to disgusted to fully investigate. The engine comes out tomorrow.

Congrats Tom!! I wish I was there to play with you! You took away my only Lap Record! MYLaps.com isn't up so I can't see the time... what was it? I know in Qual I got a 1:58 something and in one of the races I think I only got down in the 1:59 range but I don't remember. I sent my results to Anthonywill3 so maybe he can post all my fast times http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/smile.gif I'll have to go back next year to try and take it back!! Congrats on your win and I look forward to running with you someday again! Maybe you guys will go to the ARRC this year? Your cars are definetly up to the challenge and easily top dogs down there!

The ARRC is always in the plans, unfortunately life has been getting in the way of a November trip lately. My car was on pole at the ARRC Enduro many years ago and it was far less refined than our ITB cars are now... It would be fun. I'd like to bring a B car and the S car to the ARRC.

Oh and one of you guys called a long time ago... Email us with your questions, we have the spacers you need.

It's pretty bad that we can't get any results for weeks. Uploading the AMB data to MyLaps.com is pretty simple.

My friends kids go-kart races are practically uploaded realtime.

I just heard that the T&S software used at Pocono is not compatible with MyLaps and they are trying to sort out a solution. In the meantime, spreadsheets of results will be emailed out to the appropriate regional folks and will be posted ASAP.

I do race in NER regularly and appreciate that you guys post promptly. NNJR recently purchased all new T&S software and is re-learning how to prep results and upload to Mylaps.
