I am looking for a machine shop around NNJ that does quality engine block machining and head rebuilding. Someone I can count on for a square deck, straight main bearings, balanced crank, torque plated when boring, machined to my specs, etc. 4 cylinder Nissan or Japanese OHC engine experience a big plus.

Kind of far for you, but you can try Jeff at http://www.cipmotorsports.com and http://www.240sxmotoring.com in Connecticut. He has an ex-Bob Sharp Nissan guy that does machine work for him.

Jeff is a great guy and will answer all your questions promptly.

Thank you for the responses. Randolph would definitely be doable. If I don't get a comfort level from them though, CT wouldn't be so bad (though Milford is way up there beyond where NJ folds think of as being in CT). I mean how often should I need their services, it is a truck engine after all right?

There are a couple of decent places in central NJ. The first one that comes to mind is Hoffman Machine (I think they're in Middlesex). I can get details for you if you'd like.
