You're right Joe. Acuras are nothing to be scared of. We are usually so far ahead having our own race, we really don't bother anyone else. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/tongue.gif

Rain. Seems alittle early to be predicting rain for that weekend. We are how ever gonna get some rain this weekend. By the way did I mention that I cannot wait for the school as it will be my second. See you guys there.

Of course weather forcasts can always change but weather.com does go out ten days so always worth a look to at least be thinking ahead about it.

Should we have received any confirmation or correspondence related to our registering for the school?

Well doesn't look like I will be doing the race on Saturday. Right now I am just hoping the engine makes it through the school. I have lost compression in the #3 cylinder and won't have time to swap engines before Thursday.

Outclassed, Dave. You had one, you sold it to build/race a 240, IIRC.

Ok! Ok! You guys win. Actually, a bunch of lame excuses have forced me to capitulate. I will not be able to coact with my fellow combatants this weekend. I will, however,be available for a refreshing duel next weekend at Pocono, rain or shine or fog. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/smile.gif

Huh? Are you out? A little banter and you run away? Tell us it isn't so.

I will have to wait until July to beat you in person? Damn.

Much thanks to the workers, crews, instructors and event officials for running a smooth, effective event on a tight schedule. Without your efforts and a little bit of luck it could have been something other than the enjoyable educational experience it was.

Extended gratitude goes to my instructor GregAmy for the pointers to keep myself running and my crew Chris and Adam for keeping the car running when by all rights it shouldn't have been.

Summary of problems overcome...
50psi compression in cylinder #3 http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/eek.gif
#1 exhaust primary separated
Lost altenator anchor bolt (held through the rest of the day courtesy of a 944 driver's safety wire)
2 spark plug wires melted through from excess header heat
My overcooking overused Hoosiers

I would also like to thank all the workers and instructors for the awesome job they did. After finishing my car at 2am the night before, my day couldnt have gone any smoother with no car problems (unlike NHIS), great event! Thanks again workers!!
