This may be a stupid question but how did a SSM Miata end up running in the ITA ITC group? Just wanted to know because I just noticed the guy who spun me out wasn't even racing in our class.

Some of the miata guys race in more than one class. A 1600 miata is also eligable for ITA.
Any miatas in group 7 also entered and paid a fee in ITA. Sometimes this is two drivers sharing a car and sometimes it is one guy getting lots of track time.
