If I had in car video I would post some of last weekends race, especially the big spin with resulting collisions right in front of me entering turn 4 on the opening lap. But I guess you snow birds will have to wait a few months for some action of your own.

Here's something to keep you occupied until Doug's next ditty.
This is something my brother-in-law did for me years ago. It's made from both in-car and trackside footage at the 1991 Runoffs. The quality is not the best, but it was all shot, copied, edited, and dubbed again on analog tape. It only became digital this evening! 11MB, but way fun.

Jeremy,
Brian is apparently still a little dizzy from all that spinning so he is a little out of it. So you will have to excuse him about not knowing his engine size was being referenced to and not a judges scoring.
Brian,
You need to go back and take a look at Yuri spinning at Summit, to see how to properly get a car buried in the kitty litter. Spinng and still going is easy spinning and having to pull gravel out of suspension components for 1/2 an hour is impressive. http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/wink.gif

Just to make sure everyone knows that yes it was my car but no I wasn't driving. I was actually with Kristine at the store buying alternator belts since we had been throwing them all weekend. I got back to find the car at the set-up pad with a pile of gravel up to my ankles and brian on the ground swearing about having to dig all of the gravel out(there was still a bunch more to get out at that point) Ahhhhh the memories.

Very funny Doug. I actually miss having seasons, and even the snow a little. The summers out here suck, racing in 110 degrees is not fun, nor is working on the car, while most people look for heated garages back east, I am trying to fins a cheap way to cool mine so I can get some work done on the car.
Do you like the A4? We just picked up a GLX Passat last Monday. Thanks for the pics makes me want to put long sleeves on http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

What is all that white stuff on the cars? For the record it was only about 70 in the Capitol city, but closer to 80 at my…house!!

Ahhh yes...must be this years Enduro. Me thinks we should require a paint change when we sell a car. Guy I sold it to let his co-driver take the first leg - and it didn't go 2 laps...isn't that the incident Serge's SM got caught up in?

Sooooo, now we need to bait some guys into spilling some beans.
Andy - word is your building a rocket miata with intercooled nitro boosters.
Autotechnic is building E46 methane propelled BMWs which have no restrictor plate requirments. Optional butt blaster available for sale on the AT website!
I've managed to squirrel away the Motec programmable ECU with in-cockpit timing control and hand operated coolant ejector, just in case Andy gets too close to me in his Miata.
Who's got the smokin' ride for next season???

It looks like Brian wasn't the only one who took that short cut. If you look as he re-enters the track there is another set of tracks leading back onto the pavement at almost the same place Brian does. That or Brian was just trying a new line each time through and thought that was the best.
Doug do you have the video from the 01 Cheap date where I spun in front of just about the entire field at 3, Brian had some good video of me facing the wrong way. And yes this time Jeremy it was me who was driving.

Hey I went off there as well! I should try to find my video! It was my first year at POCONO.... my brother raced the day before and he told me turn 1 was very very fast in 4th. so I followed him for 2 laps bored cause he is so slow then passed on the front straight. went into turn 1 this time at some speed and went off the track still in 4th gear!! it was very exciting indeed! I to got very airborne! so airborne that when I landed it sent the strut and camber plate up through the hood! I was certainly depressed... drove 10hrs to do 3 laps and I honestly thought my car was totaled since all I could see was a hood bent up in the air. However I got it back to the pits and with Bob (smarty) behind the welder he fixed me up in time to race! Had to start from last but boy did I have fun!
