Any one out there looking to share garage space this weekend. Will be there thursday night.

I am 99% sure I am going to be there on thursday afternoon, what is the procedure for reserving/sharing garage space(never been to NHIS before)?

Call the track. They should get you to Bette French and she will sign you up.

RacerBoy, note that the NHIS garages are double-wides with a work bench in the front. The price ($125 for the weekend, I think?) is for the *whole* double-wide garage, not just a slot for one car.

Thus, there is PLENTY of space for two cars to share that one reserved space. Go with #29s offer to share.

Ok, thank you Greg for that info. Sorry for all the newbie questions, this will be my first SCCA school and first time at NHIS, it is still ok to register at the track on thursday at 6pm correct?

Back on topic,

29ITSNER, I am interested in sharing the space with you, please email me at [email protected].

I assume you already have your SCCA novice permit? If so, no problem showing up at the last minute, AFAIK (the car count was very low as of last Friday). It wouldn't hurt to download the registration form and have it filled out, ready to go (not to mention a phone call to the registrar to let her know you're coming):

I've been up at the track for the last two days.

Cold, wind, cold, and snow (Yes, it snowed today), oh, and it was cold. And windy. And cold.

But, words I hear are that it will be a great weekend.

If you call the track about garage space, you will probably want to talk to Bette's (new) assistant, Wanda, as Bette headed for home yesterday and said she was not returning until Thursday. Wanda is a hot ticket, and she even liked the Harold and Maude DVD I lent her. Even the part where they blew up the Jag.

Oh, and it was cold.

I have my novice permit and the registration form filled out. On the registration form, does my entrant need to be an SCCA member? Can it be me? No one in my crew or in my family is an SCCA member.

Still hoping to make it, sorting out some last minute brake issues..

Just a quick note for those towing up thru Worcester.

The state has yet again closed one lane in each direction on I290 in Worcester, making traffic during rush hour a bit tight.

If you are going east on the pike, you might want to continue to the 495 exit and take that north rather than take the 290 loop thru Worcester.
