According to the NESCCA website, the June 24 Driver's School and June 25 Regional have been cancelled. The race is replacement date is the Memorial weekend event. There is no mention of the driver's school. I believe that is also the John Stimm Memorial race by Mo-Hud.

Can anyone shed light on what happened? The NESCCA schedule still shows the 6/24-25 weekend.

I had my driver set for that school.

Thanks.

As of Friday and that was 3 days ago...
THe NYR event schedule for June is indeed now on Memorial Day and it will NOT have a school with it. MoHud's event this year is a national in June so no school there either. The only SCCA school planned currently at LimeRock is the NER event May 6 with a regional on May 7. But remember everything is up in the air with LRP. As Dick P. stated somewhere else "you'll know when we know". As for the NARRC Finale - date is undecided as of February 10.

Having the event on Memorial Day weekend is pretty freakn' cool! Hopefully the Sat. races will draw a decent crowd.

(Although I do feel for those who planned on the school.)

since there's no "draw" series I doubt many will trek out to the track. Sucks

I'm not totally convinced about that. People like myself plan and look forward to the Memorial day event as a tradition. It is also nice to see the article on LRP's site about the weekend event. It would be great if they promote it. Check out the ticket prices - the track has a lot to fair amount to gain by getting people to the event.

It would also be nice if SCCA did some promo stuff for the event. Hopefully the local regions will work together to make use of this prime date - it is a great opportunity for the club as a whole.

Amen. Without stepping on anyone's toes, I think "we" should take advanatage of it, and run promos just as the big boys do: midway displays, "meet the driver" sessions, cars for kids to sit in and get their photos taken, shorts, hats, and women in bikinis (WHACK!!!! on the side of the head...) uh, ok, forget that last part...

I just looked at all my passes back to '95 and that year it was $45 just for Monday, so yes, the prices are very cheap. Of course, for that $45 I got to see Mad Max flying in the 333Sp. Now THAT was a draw. Hopefully something will come out of the weekend. Right now, it may be the first time in 11 years I haven't been there.
