A Lot of people seem to be discussing taking trips next summer in addition to or instead of running the traditional NERRC and/or NARRC series. I thought that this might be a god place for us to discuss or post different trips that people intend on doing (that is if everything goes well in the beginning of the season http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/wink.gif ). This way maybe we can have a few "caravans" of racers.

For us we are not sure at all what we want to do, last year we wanted to travel, but got sucked in to local races instead due to financial burdens. While we would love to go out and beat up on Scott in his Volvo, we would also like to check out some different tracks.

What are you all doing? Please give more than just a I want to go to X track. Please give a I want to go to X track on X date for X event!!!

Raymond,

Every other year I go to Mid Ohio for the bratwurst over the 4th of July weekend. Oh, it's also a Cincy Region double weekend. Often with 1 or 2 other from my camp. 2005 is a travel year. It would be great to have an NER corral at Mid-Ohio.

Sounds like a good idea. Waiting for schedu8les to be posted to make decisions as to what races we go to. The July 4th deal sounds interesting. T Weaver

The only firm plans I have for '05 right now are:

- April NHIS School/Regional
- May LRP School/Regional
- July 4th weekend Hyperfest at Sumit Point
- September SE-R Convention, Texas (If JoeD gets his stuff together)
- November ARRC Runoffs, Road Atlanta
- Plus, lots of testing and tuning during the year.

Possibilities include the double MARRS Labor Day, plus I'm hoping Kirk is looking to bring his PhilsTireService.com GTi team together agian for some key enduros.

I'd love to hit Mid-Ohio in July, but Hyperfest is just too high-exposure an event to miss, and only 6-ish hours away. Two races, lots of spectators, tons of magazine reporters (both print and Internet), lots of, uh, "sights" and plenty of off-track activities to keep you busy.

Hmmm, looks like I don't! I "assumed" since it was September '04 it would be September '05! Yikes, that's gonna be tight; time to start looking to borrow a two-car trailer!

Friday night at the ARRC I had a discussion with several of the NEDiv ITA guys: Anthony Serra, Ray Lee Chee, Jason Adamski, and Richard Hunter. I was shocked to find out that none of them have ever been to Mid Ohio but all wanted to. I tried real hard to convince them to make the trip next year and they sounded interested. Ray said if I come to Lime Rock, they'll come to Mid Ohio. I'm game!

We always have double regionals at Mid Ohio the first weekends of July, August, and September. There's also a single regional the first weekend of October. July's is the Freedom Regional by the Cincy Region - usually a real good turnout, competition, food, and party. August's is the Brat Bash by the Fort Wayne Region - probably the best of the year in numbers, quality of competition, the food, and the party. September's is the Autumn Classic by the Ohio Valley Region - usually good numbers and OVR's usually pretty good at having a party. October's is the WOR Games by the Western Ohio Region - lowest numbers and a roll of the dice on weather but it was great this year.

That would be sweet if a bunch of you guys came down. I only live about 45 minutes from Mid Ohio so I could probably help any way I could.

Hey Kevin! I am trying to work out some sort of schedule for next year but nothing will be solid until we get the shedule in Sportscar mag. Do you have a date for the Brat Bash in Aug. Sounds like that would be the one to go to as long as it doesn't conflict with the enduro weekend at NHIS. I'll keep you posted when we get some dates of events that we hope to go to.

The CenDiv schedule got posted up last night and they've changed the Mid Ohio dates around some for the first time in years. It also says they're still waiting on final approval of these dates from Mid Ohio but they say that every year and I've never seen them bumped.

July 2-3 - Freedom Double Regional by the Cincy Region.
July 30-31 - Brat Bash Double Regional by the Fort Wayne Region.
August 6-7 - WOR Games Double Regional by the Western Ohio Region.
September 10-11 - Autumn Classic Double Regional by the Ohio Valley Region.

I'm not liking these changes. This is just making an already too short and hectic season even shorter and more hectic.

R2-Pencil me in for Mid-O WOR games Aug 6-7th. Tentative of course but more than likely. How does Sept 16-17, Fri-Sat, sound to you for your trip to LRP? http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/biggrin.gif(Single event two day Regional)Will probably be the best event at the Rock next year.

I'm getting challenged by ITA Honda peddlers (hard to really call them "drivers") into VIR in March. What an awesome way to start the year...!

Anyone else interested? Friday down, two days of racing at one of the finest racing facilities on the east coast, Monday back...

Greg - is that a honda-challenge weekend? I might have to think about it. I told myself VIR in 2005, for sure.

You too should come over with Ray and some other NorthEast guys to Mid Ohio August 6-7th and play with us CenDiv ITA boys.

Ray - that September 16-18 weekend will be open for me I believe. I'll definately keep an eye on it and try and make it up to Lime Rock that weekend.

NASA has an event the third week of February which includes an HPDE and 3 hour enduro at VIT long course. Up to 8 hours of track time and even though it is a 13 hour tow for me, it breaks up the winter nicely. Well run event with a great party.
