I just received my Pit Talk and noticed the minutes from the BOD meeting. I noticed the management from Lime Rock took our money for a "pave the track" fund, and has no plans to do this. Also, gave us the "we can rent the track to better people" speech. I dont understand, we have maxed out run groups, we PAY A LOT of money ($185 for one day event)for very short track time.....why and how arent they making money!!?? IM getting sick of this threatening attitude, and its the same from NHIS, when you talk to officials they say "we're doing you a favor by letting you race at our track". A race track loses money on SCCA weekends? THey make more renting to Porsche or BMW club, I doubt that, What gives here.

Sorry I should of read the thread below before posting this one. Looks like my angry response has been well voiced by my fellow racers. The situation is becoming desperate, we need a new track. For the life of me, I just cant figure how you cant make money leasing a track for $20k a day??? Plus selling food for 5 times normal prices.

Wasn't it a condition of getting the ALMS contract that Lime Rock had to repave the track during the period of the 3 year contract?

actually I believe the statement was to make "track improvements".

The pit lane was lengthened and I might be wrong but I believe there will be more extensive repairs to some of the corners that are really in tough shape.
