OK, this is not exactly "improved touring", but it's an east-coast car event that many of you may have an interest in:
Vanderbilt Cup Centennial is planned for October 2nd and 3rd at Mitchell Field, Long Island.
This will be a multifaceted event involving the Vanderbilt Museum and a "time trial" similar to the one at Goodwood, UK,
Humphrey Sutherland, way-back-when EMRA racer ('70's??) and Guy Frost (of Bridgehampton Heritage and a Lotus 11 owner) are the forces behind it. They have made the hurdles with Nassau County and need some support to bring this off well.
Vintage race cars from 1900 through the present will be exhibited and demonstrated on a 1.7 mile course to be laid out at Mitchell Field as part of the event.
