Here's what we discussed:
1. Tom Murphy of Club Motorsports explained and answered questions about the proposed new track. They need 4 more permits, all of which are before various agencies. They hope to open the shorter (1.4 mi) course by April 1, 2005. Tom has really educated himself about our needs and acquitted himself well when we grilled him.
2. People complained that kids on bikes/scooters/minibikes/etc. in the paddock have gotten out of hand and are a safety issue. There are existing track rules banning rollerskates and skateboards and specifying that all 2-wheel vehicles (which would include Razor-type scooters) must be operated by licensed drivers. From now on, these rules will be enforced *while race cars are running.*
3. We will again use the South Chicane for one of the NHIS Cheap Date races.
