Anyone know of a junkyard in the central CT area that has a lot of VW's. Not looking for anything specific, just for future reference.........

Thanks!

It's not CT, but there is a guy in central PA who has a whole hillside full of VW's.

Don't have a name and number, but it's on the west side of Rt. 15, a couple miles south of Silver Creek, between Selinsgrove and Harrisburg.

Probably has 200 old VW Golf/Roccos/Rabbits/Jettas/etc. up there. Not far from the guy who used to have a hillside of Gremlins (really).

I would try and check with Megliola...isn't he liquidating every parts car in the universe?

Jeff-

One of our major sponsors is Force 5 Automotive. The owners name is Chris Simple. It is a VW/Audi recycler. He knows his stuff and either has or can get just about anything from around the world. He is a big Prorally enthusiest and has been involved in that for years. We have showed him a little light in Road Racing and we are constantly trying to get him more involved.

He is worth giving a call to, very good deals, and he supports IT racing. Let him know that we refered you http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

It's Lajoie's Auto Wrecking and it's in South Norwalk...and it's Lajoie as in Randy Lajoie the Nascar driver (and a great guy...) They are a general parts kinda place, but will go out of their way to help you especailly if it's one of those "I need it to get on the track" kinda things. They've helped me out a bunch of times.

Jeff,

I have had pretty good luck with Chuck and Eddies in Southington.
I think they are in New Haven and North Haven as well.
They usually have everything from 80 rabbits up to 2002 Passats and everything in between.
But I have had the best luck with the Bargain News. You would be amazed how many of these cars are just sitting in someone’s yard and if you have a trailer (of course you do)
They are just about free for the taking I got 3 Sciroccos this way 2 years ago. And just stripped them to the ground.

Go to Mapquest (not googlemaps..."Mapquest"). Search for "Liverpool PA". Switch to aerial image mode, and look on the west side of Rt. 15, about 2 miles north of Liverpool. You can see the image of a junkyard FULL of cars on the hill alongside Rt 15. It's due-west of "Crafts Island" in the Susquehanna River. That's the guy.

It's NORTH of Harrisburg...way north.

Google sat images are in "low resolution" mode for that sector, but Mapquest are pretty good.

I think the guy in Pennsylvannia is Seb Kohl. The shop is Kohl's German Auto in Myerstown, PA. His number is 717. 866. 5562.
Seb is a super nice guy and a knowledgeable enthusiast.
