Is there any other required patches needed on the fire suit except the SCCA or SCCA club racing patch on the right chest?

Is the NER patch required?

Can the NER patch if used be put anywhere(shoulder or chest)?

Do you guys iron them on or sew them on?

Thanks

only the scca patch is required.

optional patches can be placed anywhere

i sew mine on with cotton thread. the logic is that in a fire the flamable patch falls off.

When people have their suits embroidered do they use flame resistant thread???

I would contend that if you are worried about the thread being cotton and burning vs. the patch sticking to your drivers suit, you have a much, much bigger problem that you need to deal with in the short term, like getting the hell out of the fire. :-)
