A friend of mine is restoring a 1970 - SSN #27 240 Z and needs new coil springs. Apparently no-one stocks them anymore and to further complicate matters, they are different free lenghts and one is 47#'s heavier than the other. Does anyone know of a source to get springs made and also get the original specs????

Call:

www.coilsprings.com (http://www.coilsprings.com)

They have specs for everything stock, even a Jensen Healey, and can make ANY spring you want. Rate, ID, OD, thickness, etc. are all controllable. They'll even paint them whatever color you like.

Don't bother with the online form, just pick up the phone and call them.

If that doesn't pan out, take a look at this thread.

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthr...ead.php?t=17734 (http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17734)

Carl Beck (www.zhome.com)is planning on having some made as soon as he can get the correct specs for the OEM springs and possibly the "Nismo Euro Stage 1's" that are no longer available.

People have been searching for years for them but there just aren't any OEM's available and none of the aftermarket springs are correct (especially the Arizona Z Car springs he claims are OEM replacements) so it's either wait till some are made or use old fatigued springs.

Oops I just re-read your post and I know who your buddy is, so he already knows about Carl's plan.
