View Full Version : Side Skirt Legality???

ok I bought a 83 944 with a rear bumper euro spec and a ok set of side skirts but I don’t know if they will let them thought they do nothing but look good there not aerodynamic or anything like that

and i do have a GCR but i am hoping eatheer some one knows a loop hole or you can help me i know it says no aerodynamic side skirts

Unless it specifically says you can in the spec line, you can't use either.

If you look at my ITA MR2 spec line, it says there that I can use the factory side skirts and rear spoiler - you need that too.

BTW - I took both off for weight anyway.

i checked it says i have to use 16's for rims dose that mean i can use them

No, it says you can use 15x7 or 16x7. You really need to get a GCR. I don't mean to scold (much), and especially to a fellow 944 owner, but every question you've asked here is something easily answered by obtaining and reading the GCR/ITCS.

No Euro bumper. No side skirts. Thems the rules. Of course, I've seen worse on cars I've raced against, but if you want to build a legal car, thems the rules.

Ok, here's your loophole: Nobody will care if you use the sideskirts. Nobody will protest you. If you start winning races, then think about taking them off - but even then, I doubt anyone will care. If the Euro bumper is lighter (I bet it is!) then we have a problem.
